Welcome to our Department! Non-invasive and comparative approaches provide the basis for our research into the mechanisms underlying key reproductive processes in non-human primates. Our programme of Field Endocrinology is directed towards understanding reproductive strategies and factors influencing reproductive success in natural populations. Interspecies comparisons are an important element of our studies exploring reproductive variation and its evolutionary significance. An additional aim is to use the information gained towards improving management and breeding of primates in captivity as well as conservation of in situ populations. |
